By accessing our website, making an inquiry, or confirming a booking, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must refrain from using our services.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Traveler,” “Guest,” or “Client”) and Nomadic Suriname.
Nomadic Suriname operates as a tour organizer and, in some instances, as an agent for third-party service providers including but not limited to:
Lodges and accommodations
Transportation providers (boats, vehicles, flights)
Local guides
Activity operators
Cultural hosts
Certain components of your travel experience may be delivered by independent suppliers. While we carefully select our partners, these third parties operate under their own management and policies.
A booking is considered confirmed only when:
A deposit or full payment has been received; and
You receive a written confirmation from Nomadic Suriname.
We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion prior to confirmation.
You are responsible for ensuring that all personal information provided during booking (including names, passport details, dietary requirements, and medical disclosures) is accurate and complete.
Incorrect information may result in additional charges, denied services, or travel disruptions.
All prices are listed in the currency stated on the website or invoice. Prices may be subject to change due to:
Government taxes or fees
Currency fluctuations
Fuel surcharges
Supplier cost adjustments
Once a booking is confirmed and deposit received, the agreed price is locked unless additional services are added.
A deposit may be required at the time of booking.
The remaining balance must be paid by the deadline specified in your confirmation.
Failure to pay the balance on time may result in cancellation without refund of the deposit.
We accept payment methods as listed on our website. Payment processing fees, where applicable, may be passed on to the client.
Cancellations by the traveler are subject to our published Cancellation Policy. Refunds, where applicable, depend on:
Timing of cancellation
Supplier policies
Administrative costs
No refunds are provided for unused services once a tour has commenced.
Nomadic Suriname reserves the right to cancel a tour due to operational reasons, safety concerns, or insufficient participation. In such cases, a refund or alternative arrangement will be offered.
Requests for changes must be made in writing and are subject to availability. Additional costs may apply.
While we strive to operate tours as advertised, we reserve the right to:
Modify itineraries
Substitute accommodations
Alter transport arrangements
Adjust activities
Such changes may be necessary due to weather conditions, local regulations, safety concerns, or operational requirements.
Where significant changes occur prior to departure, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible.
It is your responsibility to ensure you possess:
A valid passport
Necessary visas
Vaccination certificates
Travel permits
Entry requirements for Suriname and any other destinations visited may change without notice. Nomadic Suriname is not responsible for denied boarding, entry refusal, or related expenses resulting from improper documentation.
You must inform us of any:
Medical conditions
Physical limitations
Dietary restrictions
Allergies
Some tours may involve physically demanding activities including jungle trekking, river crossings, boat travel, or exposure to tropical climates.
You are responsible for determining your fitness to participate. We reserve the right to decline participation in activities where safety could be compromised.
We strongly recommend that all travelers obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering:
Trip cancellation or interruption
Medical treatment and evacuation
Personal accident
Baggage loss or damage
Nomadic Suriname is not responsible for costs that could have been covered by insurance.
Travel in remote or natural environments involves inherent risks including but not limited to:
Wildlife encounters
Weather extremes
River and jungle terrain
Transportation delays
Limited medical facilities
By booking with us, you acknowledge these risks and agree to participate voluntarily.
You accept personal responsibility for your conduct and safety during the tour.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Nomadic Suriname shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
We are not responsible for acts or omissions of independent suppliers.
Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the booking.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by law.
We are not liable for failure to perform obligations where such failure results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Natural disasters
Floods
Political unrest
Government restrictions
Pandemics
Strikes
Transportation shutdowns
In such cases, we may offer rescheduling, credit, or partial refunds at our discretion.
All travelers are expected to:
Respect local communities and cultures
Follow safety instructions from guides
Avoid illegal substances
Treat fellow travelers with respect
We reserve the right to remove any traveler from a tour without refund if their behavior endangers others or disrupts the experience.
During tours, photographs and videos may be taken for promotional purposes.
By participating, you grant Nomadic Suriname permission to use images in which you appear for marketing, unless you notify us in writing prior to departure.
We promote sustainable tourism practices. Travelers agree to:
Minimize environmental impact
Follow “leave no trace” principles
Respect wildlife and ecosystems
Failure to adhere to environmental guidelines may result in removal from certain activities.

Images
Logos
Itineraries
Branding
is the intellectual property of Nomadic Suriname and may not be reproduced without written permission.
Personal information collected during booking is used solely for:
Reservation processing
Communication
Operational requirements
We do not sell or distribute personal data to third parties except as required to fulfill your booking or as required by law.
If you have a complaint during your tour, you must notify your guide or our office immediately so that we can attempt to resolve the issue.
Formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days of tour completion.
Disputes shall be governed by the laws of Suriname, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection legislation.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with the Cancellation Policy and any booking confirmation documents, constitute the entire agreement between you and Nomadic Suriname.
No verbal representations or external statements shall modify these Terms unless confirmed in writing.
Nomadic Suriname reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. The version in effect at the time of booking applies to your reservation.
By completing a booking with Nomadic Suriname, you acknowledge that:
You have read and understood these Terms and Conditions.
You accept the inherent risks associated with travel in natural and remote environments.
You agree to comply with all policies outlined herein.
