How Nomadic Started
Nomadic Tours & Education was founded by Stephert Bechan, whose background in biology education, field experience, and travel helped shape the company’s approach from the start. What began as a passion for helping people understand Suriname’s wildlife, landscapes, and cultural heritage developed into a way of guiding visitors through the country with more context, curiosity, and connection. That same approach continues to guide Nomadic today: combining exploration with education, local insight, and a deeper understanding of the places being visited.
